# Southern California Wildfire Response (SCWR)

> SCWR is a public nonprofit, all-hazard wildland fire and emergency response agency serving Los Angeles and Southern California. Founded in 2021, SCWR operates as a professional volunteer fire department conducting active patrols, initial attack suppression, disaster response, and incident support across LA and surrounding counties. SCWR grew out of the LAIT911 platform and remains closely integrated with it. The agency is funded entirely through community donations. EIN: 92-1027105.

SCWR's tagline is "Prevention, Response, Recovery." Personnel are trained firefighters and EMTs deployed in the field — not as observers or auxiliaries. Operations are centered in Los Angeles, with extension across Southern California based on mutual aid needs and conditions.
